Morehouse manufactured laboratory premises for a Finnish company for ballistics testing of personal protection equipment.
In the laboratory testing conditions stay constant, while previously variability in testing spaces had presented the problem of potential changes in conditions between different rounds of testing.
The laboratory made up of four 20’ maritime containers can be moved between sites as needed. The containers comprise a shooting range for testing, as well as office space.
The project was challenging in designing the structure to ensure safety for both the testing activity and the environment. Particular focus was put in the sound proofing, as the laboratory space is designed to place no special limitations on the deployment location.
